The atmosphere in the old town of Dubrovnik is an experience that makes you feel thrown back hundreds of years in time and history.<\/div>\n
It’s simply beautiful and if you, like myself, loooove old buildings and venetian architecture, then this is it!<\/div>\n
It takes about 2,5 hrs. (Incl. of a 20 min. half-way break) to drive from Podgora to Dubrovnik. The drive takes you along the coast and it is a very scenic tour.<\/div>\n
Apollo organises an afternoon\/evening tour, which is just perfect as you arrive around 4 pm when it’s not too hot and all the cruise ship tourists (nothing bad about them, I too love cruising….) have left the “building”.<\/div>\n
The main street is stunning and built of limestone, with old buildings surrounding it. There are many, many small, narrow streets everywhere and the architecture is very impressive.<\/div>\n

We took the cable car, located just outside old town, up to the Srd Hill. The view from here is fantastic, overlooking the sea with its’ neighbouring islands and old town. The ride takes about 5 min.<\/div>\n
It costs around 95,- kuna for a return ticket (95 kr.)<\/div>\n

Finding a good restaurant can be tricky as there are plenty of tourist traps around… This time around we were not too lucky (Rest. Amoret) so next time we’ll do our restaurant home work properly in order to be well prepared and find a good restaurant.
\nHowever, I can highly recommend “Restaurant Dubrovnik<\/a>“, which friends have visited several times.<\/div>\n
