We spent a week at the gorgeous Anantara Hua Hin Resort & Spa, situated just about 5 kms. from Hua Hin city centre.

Hua Hin is an old royal town and has grown quite big during the years.
\nThe good thing about Hua Hin is that it’s situated a relatively short distance from Bangkok, only about 3 hrs by road (traffic depending).<\/p>\n

It has a number of sights that should not be missed and I can recommend a visit to the local railway station, which is about 100 years old and beautifully built.
\nThe old nearby Railway hotel (Centara Grand hotel) has a nice colonial ambience.
\nThe Royal palace can also be visited but unfortunately we missed this as it was closed the day we had planned our visit.<\/p>\n

There’s a Night Market as well that opens around 6 pm every evening and here you can find food markets as well as the typical Thai tourist market.
\nThere’s a shopping mall called Market Village just south of town, which is good.
\nIf you want to buy gold and\/or diamonds, we can highly recommend Saphira jewelry.
\nThailand is famous for its’ tailor shops and there are hundreds and thousands of them….We can highly recommend SAGA tailor with the perfect location by the Clock tower.
\nGood quality and great service….I’ve known them since 1994 and still as good \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\nWe only heard good things about it and will visit next time!<\/p>\n

We ended (by mistake) at the Hua Hin Safari & Adventure Park, which was a HUGE mistake as this place was awful – and daylight robbery! NEVER<\/i><\/b> go there.<\/p>\n

There are several good restaurants in Hua Hin but being seafood lovers, we ended up at KETSARIN seafood several times during our stay and it was fantastic every time.
\nFresh seafood at its’ very best and with very good service as well.

Getting around Hua Hin is easy by taxi and very cheap.
\nOur hotel was situated approximately 5 km. from the city centre and a taxi costs 150,- baht. (4,50 usd. or 30 Danish kr.).
\nPrices are fixed and nobody will cheat you.<\/p>\n
